ALDS Postseason Roster & Stats

We now know who the Red Sox will be playing on Friday, October 4th at Fenway Park.  The Tampa Bay Rays defeated the Texas Rangers 5-2 on Monday with an impressive outing by David Price.

Price pitched a complete game and gave up only 2 runs on 7 hits.  Evan Longoria hit a 2-run homer and the Rays advanced to the Wild Card game in Cleveland against the Indians.

The Rays then blanked the Indians 4-0 as Alex Cobb went 6 and 2/3 of scoreless ball with 5 strikeouts.  The bullpen then nailed down the rest as the Indians were 2 for 9 with runners in scoring position and left 9 men on base.

So, it's set.  Red Sox vs. the Rays yet again.  They were 12-7 against them this year and the rivalry between them and the Rays has certainly heated up in recent years.  I would argue that it's better than the Yankee rivalry at the moment.

The game will be at 3:07 and I personally can't wait.
